Bambi, who we lovingly call “Cara Mia” (which means My Dear, My Beloved) has a striking face and is a lovely combination of her dam and sire.

Cara’s first time in the show ring was met with great success!  She was 2018 Southern Browsers Udder Extravaganza Senior Class Best in Breed & Grand Champion.  In the 2019 Alabama Dairy Goat Show she placed Third in the Senior Doe Division.  When she kidded in the spring of 2019, she only had one kid, and we did not start milking her until about 12 weeks and were only milking her every other day by the time of the show in October.  If she would have had a more filled udder, we are confident she would have placed higher.

From a production standpoint, we we began participating in DHIA for the first time in 2018, Cara earned her milk star through the ADGA that year, and we didn’t even milk the entire period.  She remains one of our best producers.

Even though she is almost 7 years old, she is still a lovely doe and remains so very sweet.  She is definitely a favorite that has our heart.
